Packing Moving Tips

Packing and Moving Tips

The main condition for professional transport is the safety of the package/load. To protect the integrity of the package/cargo, the choice of the courier (customer reviews, experience, transport conditions) and the packaging of the cargo itself plays a stellar role. The security of the contents depends directly on the correctly selected and carried out packaging, it is the packaging that protects the packages from damage and contamination.

  • How to pack a parcel/cargo?
    • First, you need to determine what type of packaging is best suited for your content. If you are shipping items that are not breakable or fragile, such as clothing, bedding, children's stuffed toys, etc., a normal box, bag or suitcase appropriate for the size of the contents is best. It is not recommended to choose boxes or large bags, the content must be packed tightly, without gaps in the package.

  • Packaging of fragile and breakable products
    • When shipping fragile and brittle goods, special attention must be paid to the packaging; here the packaging must be individually selected specifically for your cargo.

For example, in jars it is better to wrap dishes and bind them with a special packaging film with "bubbles", newspapers or other soft material. The lower part at the top of the package must also be protected from direct contact with a hard surface (for example: when checking the cargo, the control services or the courier service may break the content due to inadequate packaging when placing your package on a hard surface).

It is also not highly recommended to make a heavy package with fragile content, as there is a higher risk of damage from its own weight, plus heavy packages collapse during transport. A box for fragile products should be selected from high-quality thick cardboard, the gaps should be filled with something soft, and improvised materials are suitable - newspapers with cellophane or special packing filler, which will prevent the contents from hanging on the package.

To transport paints and glass, it is ideal to make a rigid frame out of plywood or pack it in many layers of soft material (bubble wrap, blanket, quilt), make additional cardboard packaging on top and wrap it tightly with tape.

Fragile cargo must be marked with an appropriate clearly visible marking; When you pick up the parcel/cargo, please do not hesitate to inform the courier that you have a fragile cargo.

  • Recommendations for moving
    • In a hurry, it is impossible to pack things well. This causes damage to expensive products. During transportation, dishes may break and furniture may be scratched or broken. Negligence results in great losses. Therefore, it is important to start planning the procedure in advance. This approach will help the owners to think well about the future move. Harvesting is carried out in stages.

First of all, cupboards and showcases are emptied. The content is packed in suitcases, boxes or plastic bags. It is better to collect the accessories of each family member in a separate container. This will help avoid confusion after moving to a new house. The plates must be wrapped in a soft material. For reliability, it is recommended to put them in pans. Suitable for this and buckets.

Pillows, mattresses are collected in bags. Although such products are difficult to damage, it is impossible to stack paints and varnishes or liquids next to them.

After assembling small elements, we move on to furniture. Such products are disassembled into components. Each item is packaged. Accessories are removed in a separate container. Glass inserts are packaged accordingly. They must be reliably protected from shocks and bumps. You can use bubble wrap.
